SWISS YOGA ADVENTURE!

August 23-27, 2010 (also to be repeated in August 2011)

I am very excited to offer you this Swiss Yoga Adventure for your summer vacation option! We will be together for five days from August 23-27, 2010, in the charming village of Beromunster near the beautiful town of Lucerne, Switzerland.

Last summer, I visited my wonderful Swiss Viniyoga colleague whom I met during my studies at Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandarim in 1994! Lotti and her French husband, Laurent (also a yoga teacher), have a lovely yoga studio in their home and have graciously offered to share it with us for our practice and study. In addition, she will be teaching some of our classes.

Of course, you can bring your friend or partner who cares not a jot about yoga! They can join us for the rest of the adventures and skip the yoga. Or, you can go off on your own adventures and enjoy the community of friends as you choose.

Included in your adventure:

  • Airport pick-up from Zurich or Basel to Beromunster
  • 2 hours of yoga practice and study daily in a beautiful studio across the street from accommodations
  • One private yoga lesson with me or Lotti
  • Optional shared transportation and coordination for hikes in the Alps and exploration of nearby villages
  • Your choice of accommodations in a hotel or bed and breakfast, just steps away from the studio
  • Beromunster has nearby footpaths from the village into the countryside and a spectacular community swimming pool with view of the Alps

Costs:
  • $650 for yoga and trip coordination, or $150 for non-yoga partner
  • Optional shared transportation costs for group adventures (approximately $200 per person depending upon the number sharing van costs)

I will arrange for your accommodations at one of the two facilities below ($70 - 110/night, includes breakfast)

Bed and Breakfast: http://www.bedandbreakfast.ch/index.php?p=page&id=1229

Solid Ground - Your stable foundation in a changing world

Yoga Retreat - December 3-5, 2010

Life is certainly unpredictable!  Though we prefer the delusion of stability and control, at any time we could experience disease, injury, death, divorce, job loss, or any of a long list of life-changing experiences.  Use this weekend to reconnect with your innermost source of stability and be nourished in the ground of your Being.

Our practices include postures, breathing practices, meditation, chanting, journaling, and reflective study of texts of wisdom and poetry.

The Bishop's Ranch is 75 miles north of San Francisco nestled among the forests, farms, and vineyards of Sonoma County and owned by the Episcopal Diocese. It is a special space of retreat and renewal. Accommodations are double-occupancy bedroom suites -- two bedroom cabins with shared bathrooms. All meals are included with your price.
